What’s the deal with Midas and Blood Rose?

On November 24th, 2014, /u/scheda asked the following on /r/DCcomics:

Is there any more information available on Midas from the New 52 Green Arrow volume 1? I’m dying to know more about him and why his robot gal hate Ollie so much.

Untitled

Not really. They were created for that arc and haven’t been seen since, and seeing as this run was almost universally panned I wouldn’t hold my breath for their return. That said, there are hints as to why they hate/attack Ollie. Here we go!

Did Superman once renounce his American citizenship?

On November 18th, 2014, /u/IrateGinger asked the following on /r/DCcomics:

I remember a few years ago, when I wasn’t reading a lot of comics, there was talk about a Superman story where he was going to renounce his American citizenship, but I never heard what came about from this. Did he permanently give it up? Or did he get it back later? Or did the writers just kinda ignore it?

The most relevant details are in this Screenrant piece, but yeah, it did happen – kinda – in Action Comics #900. But it’s a bit more complicated.

Does Eobard Thawne/Professor Zoom exist in the New 52?

On November 17th, 2014, /u/Yaseen121 asked the following on /r/DCcomics:

Sorta complicated question but here goes, Does Eobard Thawne/Professor Zoom exist in the new 52 I know there was a reference to him in the Flash annual #3. Also in flash-point Thomas Wayne kills Eobard and then Barry goes back in time to stop himself from saving his mother, but wasn’t his mother killed by Eobard so wouldn’t that mean there’s another Eobard around? If he isn’t then who do you guys think is the most likely candidate for the murder of Nora Allen. Oh and if it wasn’t obvious Professor Zoom is my favorite villain which is why I care so much lol.

At the time was Jason Todd heavily disliked because he wasn’t like Dick Grayson? How has his origin changed over the years?

On November 17th, 2015, /u/Stevezilla9 asked the following on /r/DCcomics:

My question is for those who were reading when Jason Todd was Robin. At the time was he heavily disliked because he wasn’t like Dick Grayson? If so, looking back are you glad that they made him out to be a different kind of Robin rather than being a copy of Grayson? Pre-Crisis wasn’t he a redhead who was also an orphan from a family of acrobats?

Pre Vs post-Crisis Jason Todd origins

Well, I wasn’t reading as it was a little bit early for me – I was born in 1985 – but I think I can help you. Continue reading

How long was Flash in the Speed Force? (Explaining the timeline from The Flash #6-12 and The Flash Annual #1)

On November 16th, 2014, /u/kanchill asked the following on /r/DCcomics:

I have a question for anyone who’s read New 52 Flash. When they did the rouge flashback, it took place 2 years ago and in the battle Captain Cold thanks Flash for saving his sister. The second thing happened before Flash entered the speed force so was the Flash in the speed force for 2 years?

Alternatively, could someone explain the timeline to me because I’m really confused

After working out that /u/kanchill was referring to the second trade, Rogues Revolution – which collected issues #0, 9-12 and The Flash Annual #1 – I was able to answer this:

What was actually changed from the Golden Age to the Silver Age?

On November 16th, 2014, /u/Holtzy35 asked the following on /r/DCcomics:

What was actually changed from golden age to silver age? I know things like Kal-L to Kal-El happened, but what else was actually changed?

Hey hey, this seems like my kinda question. For these purposes, and because it’s this sub, I’ll stick to what happened with DC during this time ;)

How does Booster Gold feel about Jaime Reyes, given the old Blue Beetle, Ted Kord, was his bestie?

On November 10th, 2014, /u/daxdaxdax asked the following on /r/DCcomics:

[Prior to the New 52 reboot, how did] Booster Gold feel about Jaime Reyes?

Their relationship was pretty good. Obviously it was a bit weird for Booster with this new legacy hero following on from his dead best bud, but they actually got along well. They actually met basically right at the beginning of Jaime’s career during Infinite Crisis:
